CURRENT CAMPAIGNS

All of our campaigns are informed by the women we work with and our experience of providing services to women offenders and ex-offenders.

A Manifesto to Halve the Women's Prison Population
Over 4,000 women will not get to vote this year - because they are in prison. The SWAP (Supporting Women – Against Prison) Campaign is making sure these women are not forgotten.  Led by women’s organisations delivering support to women in the criminal justice system, including Women in Prison, SWAP is campaigning to keep women out of prisons designed for men.

To read the manifesto in full and take action see the manifesto campaign page

Poverty: A human rights issue
Poverty is a cause and a consequence of women's imprisonment.  We are working with the British Insititue of Human Rights to develop a human rights based campaign to address homelessness experienced by women leaving prison.

To find out more about the project see the BIHR website
